Here’s a little something for Throwback Thursday, a sweet surprise proposal. What do we think is the ultimate romantic gesture? A proposal, of course! So naturally, we were delighted when Andy asked us to be part of this magical surprise engagement, such an exciting moment for this loving couple.
Erika had no idea that Andy had contacted us in advance to help capture the moments that would unfold.
We watched, waiting and anticipating for all of Andy’s carefully planned details to come together. Finally, the moment arrived! Andy bent down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and uttered the four words that would make any girl weak in the knees. As you may have already guessed, she said “yes” and indeed there was a kiss to seal the deal. Erika was completely surprised, her expression was priceless and we were there to document the whole story.
Engagement shoots are the perfect way to get to know your photographer before the wedding day. With an e-session you can take the time to get comfortable and loosen up in front of the camera. Its important to choose a meaningful location for your engagement photos, somewhere that shows your personality and how you spend your time together. This is where we come in. We will help you find the best way to capture the essence of your relationship.
For so many reasons the sincerity and excitement of photographing the engagement portraits during and just after the proposal is unbeatable.
Everything was absolutely perfect for Erika + Andy’s proposal-engagement and here are the images to prove it!
Hello, friends, clients and future brides
Its incredible how fast summer came and went this year. We are so fortunate to have had so much fun personally as well as with our amazing clients this year. We still have few more weddings until early December, but are promising to pick up the slack on our blog posts and enlighten you with our passion, your love. To start of our hiatus, we’d like to share with you a little promo piece done by the uber talented Johan from NewLeaf Wedding Cinema who came along on an engagement shoot or also known as “getting to know you” shoot to show all our future clients how much fun you will have and how easy it is to strut your stuff and show us your love in front of the cameras. Till very soon….
A beautiful engagement right here in our back yard. Port Credit lends its charm with so much variety, we just love it here.
Thanks Loretta and Dom for being such sweet models, you did totally awesome. We had a blast with you guys and can’t wait for the big day. Enjoy.
What an amazing day. Spending it in Penny and Peter’s presence, you know there is love all around. Absolute sweethearts. So into each other. So much fun.

Hello..., the longest engagement post ever;) For real, we just couldn't make it any shorter. So many rockin' frames of Mich+Glen. You guys kicked it up a notch. How much fun did we have?! Love the energy and love between the two of you. It was such a pleasure working and shooting you guys. Easily one of the most easy going couples... Love you guys. Please enjoy the storyboards below. We are looking forward to your amazing big day :)
The story of a proposal is usually a very personal, emotional moment that a couple usually enjoy’s telling us, but Carmen+Jason actually showed us.
For their engagement shoot, we revisited where it all happened in Collingwood. They still love visiting this lovely city and enjoying getaways to Blue Mountain Village, the views of Georgian Bay, the hot chocolates and of course revisiting the important place where Jason proposed. We started shooting at the exact spot where it all happened, and I can tell you that it was beautiful to watch the moment unravel itself once again and transport them back to that important moment in time. Love is beautiful.
Carmen and Jason, you are both so wonderful. Enjoy the images taken at your special place, and thanks for showing and telling us your story. Cheers.
What a wonderful fall day today.
Although it looked threatening and quite gloomy earlier today, we couldn’t ask for a better day. Christine and Jesse were total sports and were up for all our “ahhh and this spot, ahh and this backdrop” We love ya!
More to come soon
