Happy May 1st everyone,

Historically speaking May 1st is an important day. For example:

-May 1 is the 121st day of the year (122nd in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar
-1834 – The British colonies abolish slavery.
-1884 – Proclamation of the demand for eight-hour workday in the United States.
-1930 – The dwarf planet Pluto is officially named.
-1940 – The 1940 Summer Olympics are cancelled due to war.
-2004 – Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia join the European Union
-May Day, Labour Day, Workers’ Day, Day of the International Solidarity of Workers.
-Czech Republic – “National Love Day” – couples tend to flock to the memorial of the poet Karel Hynek Mácha in Prague and kiss.

Also it was the Manifestation day during the abolished Communism in former Eastern Block. I remember taking to the streets from public schools, wearing blue with red scarfs as true Lenin’s pioneers cheering on and celebrating Socialism.

Otherwise May 1st in Port Credit signifies that:
-Spring is on its way
-Its only 4 days to my birthday (I expect blog wishes)
-Firepit in the garden is done (pics to come later)
-Front porch almost finished (its missing bannisters)
-Bar almost done, need some shelves
-Seating plan is done
-Last meeting with our Photographer and DJ to commence next week
-Still need to book our Honeymoon. (yeah, I know….)
-Few client meetings before the W day and few e-sessions.
-Family from Europe arriving in 2 weeks

And no stress… its like a zen Japanese garden around here….. mmm Deep Breath and count with me 1…2…3

Just to update you with our progress.
