Back up Back up and Back up

I know it might be redundant to do so… but I rather measure twice and cut once as my grandmother used to say.
Clients often inquire about our archival methods and processes. We ensure that all our work is triple archived on external hard drives and than we additionally burn each event onto DVD’s and store it offsite. Burn is the key word in the previous sentence. Very paranoid ;) no? All our clients have access to their images for up to a year, however we don’t delete anything and if you damage, tore, lose or spill on your prints, you can always come back to us in ten years and we will be happy to reproduce it for you. After few of these questions were brought up to the table, we thought a quick blog about it would resolve some misconceptions in the industry. Btw, all our images are shot in RAW format (a kind of digital negative) and all our work is given to our Brides in High Res Images burned and lightscribed to a DVD.
On a personal note: Few blogs back I mentioned how cool as a cucumber I will be, but the temperature is rising… and I feel the heat. Only two weeks to go people!
Tonight we are meeting with our DJ for the last time, Finalizing honeymoon, Finishing bonbonnieres …et al.
Ohh….the Dirt just arrived. Anyone with a wheelbarrow, showel and a smile is welcome. jk.
