Music to your ears – Waterorgan

right
Just couple of days ago I heard on radio that certain music frequencies are “good for you” Studies conducted that certain octaves produced by harps resonate, induce and help to speed up healing process. In cases of cancer patients, it calms them down and produces endorphins that lessen the pain patients experience. It was also studied that fractures tend to heal faster when exposed to to these frequencies. Oddly enough some operating rooms started to play harp music or sounds of the ocean during an operation. Same effect can be reached by having a cat as the purr produced reaches the same frequency. When two groups of students were exposed to sounds of crashing surf, it was reported that group that heard the waves was less anxious, more organized and suffered less depression. Here is a vid of a Waterorgan in Croatia. As the surf crashes, the elegant stairs have a built in series of 35 musically tuned tubes with whistle openings on the sidewalk. The movement of the sea pushes air through, and – depending on the size and velocity of the wave – musical chords are played. Very Cool!
