So, the other day, I was contacted by the Distress Centre from Toronto, a non for profit organization providing survivor support, community outreach, volunteering and a distress line to see if I was interested in donating an art for their annual auction at the Gladstone Hotel to support their continuing efforts. I am always interested in helping in any way I can, as I strongly believe in community help and volunteering. They saw some of my work at the Higher Groundz and were interested to add me the the roster of emerging artists. I agreed and provided the piece below. I really think everyone should be involved to some degree in helping the community or the needy in one way or another.
If any one is interested in attending the auction, it will take place on August 9th at the Gladstone Hotel (Queen & Dufferin) in Toronto for $25. This includes Hors d’oeuvres, Live Entertainment and of course the Auction. It should be lots of fun. Come one come all.
