Well it was my 2nd attempt to document the implosion of four sisters, however without any luck. Originally scheduled for Monday 25th, it was rescheduled to today due to unfavourable winds and today was a repeat. Winds were excellent 15-20 knots however in the wrong direction. What we need are northerly to west northerly winds to carry the dust over the lake and not the city. I sound quite heavily involved, don’t I? So today, I changed perspectives, and headed over to the Port Credit Yacht Club from where I am racing J24′s. Much closer and better view than restricted 500m access from the lakeshore. I am preplexed to see so many people out during working hours. It was nice to have complimentary coffee and muffins from the club while waiting for a siren or an announcment. Chatting it up with the skippers and even getting a mini interview with cbc plugging kostelphoto.com. That would be funny if it would air. Well not funny at all, it would be a great exposure. Anyways, somewhat dissapointed, I am hoping to snap some pics perhaps tommorow. Interim, here are few more shots of the sisters while standing.
Keep coming back, I will keep you posted.
PS. The last two pics are of Spirit of Canada sail boat that will be racing a solo race around the world in 2008. Check out http://www.spiritofcanada.net/ for mor details. And subsequently I will post a youtube video of a 180 degree test that the boat had to endure in order to make the requirements of the race.
