Yes, it finally happened. Third rescheduled demolition was a success. Originally to take place at 0730hrs, June 25th it was delayed 3 times due to unfavourable wind conditions, cloud cover over the lake that would precusion the explosion back to land and potentially break alot of windows to a check of explosives as they were not ment to be wired for five days rather only two. Alot of onlookers lost their patience and left. Having few skippers beside me with receivers and a demo crew taping the event we were well informed. The official 30 mins warning came at 1030hrs with the 10minute siren at apprx 1053hrs. The blast was sequential starting at the east end of the structure and continued to implode towards west getting louder. The last portion of the building cought momentarily on fire which was snubbed out by the overwhelming debree of steel, concrete and sheet metal. The dust cloud, as perfectly timed, dissapaited quite quickly over the lake where the winds were pushing it. All in all, everything seemed to go as planned, perhaps we will learn more from the media.
